About
Hi, I’m Ernesto, an Application Systems Engineer focused on turning business needs and operational problems into clearer, more reliable applications and internal systems.
What this blog is
This is where I write down what I notice: experiments, lessons, technical thinking, and tradeoffs. Each post starts with a question I had to work through for myself.
My work
My work spans the application lifecycle, from requirements gathering and technical planning through implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing improvement. I work across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, JavaScript, C#, and system integrations.
I’m especially drawn to work that requires understanding how a process actually works, identifying where technology can improve it, and helping shape solutions that are sensible, scalable, maintainable, and well understood by the people who depend on them.
How I work
Understand the problem. I start by understanding the real need, before choosing a solution.
See the system. I look at the relationships, constraints, dependencies, tradeoffs, and downstream consequences around it.
Build deliberately. I make and carry out technical decisions with care, which includes validation, testing, deployment, maintainability, supportability, learning from outcomes, and responsible iteration.
